This should be a crazy week. Ever since I've taken over as director of my office 2 months ago, it's been a crazy ride. We're still shorthanded, and who knows if we'll get any good applicants besides some stupid monkeys that want a job for awhile, will bring their personal drama into it, and then leave after a year, leaving us with yet another stupid bureaucratic process to wade through. Sigh...

Other than that, I think things are going well. Yes, besides work, which takes up most of any given person's life, I'm actually enjoying myself. I've learned more about myself in the last year than the rest of my life combined, and I'm actually happy with myself for the first time in my life. I can't really complain, but that stupid stress of work has to be let out somewhere...I've finally moved beyond the traumas of my childhood and teenage years, gotten out of my long-running depressive funk, and am having fun with Shiloh and our close friends and family.

We've been kicking around finally playing out at some open mic nights around town. We committed to doing one in February at the UAF Pub. Yikes. Guess we need to start practicing more!

Sigh, I certainly cannot wait for Christmas break and a chance to decompress fully...Perhaps the hot springs are calling!
